There are no mutations, magic, or rainbow ponies here; the horses of the Homelands must carve out a life for themselves by their wits and strength alone. We have no cannons or "site-wide plot" to speak of as we've found that there are a ton of creative people out there and when our members are left to their own devices the plots stay fresh and fun for everyone. So if you're looking for a laid back site with no so called "unique" plot you must adhere to, Defying Gravity just might be the place for you!!

This summer's a hot one!! Things might get a little dicey for those on the south end of the Homeland who aren't used to temperatures above 70 or 80 F. Coldbloods beware!!

The Tremblay is the longest river in the Homeland. Stemming from Acele and reaching all the way south to the ocean, the river scopes two entire territories. Beginning in the Plains, many plains natives consider it their own, though those south of them might beg to differ. Either way, it offers a great resource to the territories it touches. The river itself is mottled with both rapids and slow spots. It is often hard to tell where would be the best to cross or drink.
More colloquially known as the King's Prairie, Sanala is beautiful to the eye. Here, the land is flat and soft, a perfect place to raise a family - a royal one, that is. This prairie has been the Plains royal family's home for generations. There is no where for intruders to hide and therefore no source of danger to little ones, assuming the King is vigilant in keeping watch.
The Plains are long and expansive in the Homeland. Covered in heather and sage, the Plains are reminiscent to an enormous meadow in the clearing of a forest. Trees are sparse here and equines might have problems finding hiding places should they find themselves in trouble. The temperatures remain mild in this territory for most of the year, though winters can get chilly. The Plains might even be called a sort of valley, as they are situated between the much higher Arcarian Range and the somewhat taller Drulan Woods.
