Welcome to Defying Gravity, a semi-realistic natural horse rpg!
There are no mutations, magic, or rainbow ponies here; the horses of the Homelands must carve out a life for themselves by their wits and strength alone. We have no cannons or "site-wide plot" to speak of as we've found that there are a ton of creative people out there and when our members are left to their own devices the plots stay fresh and fun for everyone. So if you're looking for a laid back site with no so called "unique" plot you must adhere to, Defying Gravity just might be the place for you!!

It was a dark humid summer night at the edge of The Plains. A young mare was resting peacefully and though she seemed deep in sleep her ears twitched ever so often at the night sounds. At her side was dark gold and white filly. Unlike her mother she was wide awake and curious of the world around her.
The sudden spark of a lightning bug off in the distance had her small legs hopping over the tall grass towards it. "Gwenaëlle! 'Et back 'ere!" Her mother had a very heavy french accent, one that Gwen was quickly picking up on," But moooom!" This was one of the few things she had learned to say so far and because of her adventurous nature she said it a lot.
Her mother just shook her head and went back to dozing, Gwen had won this round. She giggled mischievously and continued dashing threw the long summer grass. Soon she was well out of view of her mother and completely oblivious to the danger that might lurk in the night.
