Welcome to Defying Gravity, a semi-realistic natural horse rpg!
There are no mutations, magic, or rainbow ponies here; the horses of the Homelands must carve out a life for themselves by their wits and strength alone. We have no cannons or "site-wide plot" to speak of as we've found that there are a ton of creative people out there and when our members are left to their own devices the plots stay fresh and fun for everyone. So if you're looking for a laid back site with no so called "unique" plot you must adhere to, Defying Gravity just might be the place for you!!

This extensive glacier covers the entire northern cap of Cikuq and is a virtual extension of the land. Equines cannot linger for long here, as the temperatures are below freezing year-round. There is no foliage - only ice. Arctic mammals live near and on the glacier, including arctic foxes and even a few polar bears. Seals play in the ocean around the glacier, though they prefer to rest on floating bergs around the glacier's edge.
The Ice Caves are what the monarchy of Cikuq call home. The wall of ice against one of Cikuq's peaks has rather large, roomy holes bored into it, creating the perfect shelter for the herd during rough times such as blizzards or ice storms.
The tundra of the North is daunting, to say the least. Its fields are nearly bare of life, save for the small amount of grass the grows around the territory's southern border. Pine trees are also native to this area, though few grow here. Glaciers are not uncommon sights in this mountainous area; inhabitants must be light on their hooves to survive the rocky, icy, barren terrain.
