Welcome to Defying Gravity, a semi-realistic natural horse rpg!
There are no mutations, magic, or rainbow ponies here; the horses of the Homelands must carve out a life for themselves by their wits and strength alone. We have no cannons or "site-wide plot" to speak of as we've found that there are a ton of creative people out there and when our members are left to their own devices the plots stay fresh and fun for everyone. So if you're looking for a laid back site with no so called "unique" plot you must adhere to, Defying Gravity just might be the place for you!!

Ryfar Ridge is a rocky, flat terrain that ends in a cliff off of one of Arcarian's larger mountains. Glaciers are most abundant here and come and go with the seasons, the larger ones lingering year-round. Brush and pine trees grow here, offering protection from the elements for any visitors or inhabitants.
Yepal is the coldest river in the Homeland and is also the only river to not reach Lake Acele in the center of the Homeland. Frozen-over for two thirds of the year, the Yepal offers little in the ways of resources to Arcarians.
Staph Peak is the very highest point in the Homeland. At 12,000 feet, few equines have ever reached the summit. It is said that at this sacred place, only the monarchs of the region are fit to set hoof.
The Arcarian Mountains are by far the tallest geological features in the Homeland. Serving as a home for many alpine creatures, equines living in the range's high altitude must acclimate themselves to the air's tough pressure. The range is, on average, 9,000 feet above sea level with lower and higher levels as well. Glaciers are not uncommon in the more northern areas. Foliage is mostly coniferous and is abundant in most lower areas.
