About the Kenren
I'm twenty years old and attending Michigan State University. I'm going into my Junior year, aiming for a degree in Animal Science with a concentration in Animal Biology. The goal is to work as a breeding manager at a Thoroughbred farm :'D I'm applying for an internship in Kentucky next spring.

For now, I'm working at a boarding farm five days a week, doing stalls and various farm what-have-yous. Then I work with the horses, including Prince, an eight-year-old Thoroughbred who was never desensitized and thinks plastic bags are super big scaries. Also I'm learning to ride eventing-style English after riding Western my entire life LOL SHOOT ME.

Personality: Mav is a rather hard stallion to keep a leash on, so to speak. He's not much of a conformist, and lives his life based on his own set of rules. For example, boundaries set by others mean little to him, in basically all interpretations. He'll waltz onto someone else's land without a care, not because he wants to be an ass but because he just doesn't abide by those rules. Same goes for mares - he doesn't hold to a stallion's claim. If a mare turns him away, then so be it - but if they show interest, he won't back down just because someone else calls her his. Mav is a very charismatic stallion, and draws others to him without trying or really even caring to. However, he doesn't hate it - he's something of a social butterfly, loving the companionship of different personalities. It's rare for him to actively chase anyone away unless they are somehow a threat - not necessarily to himself, but to those he cares for or the life he has made. He's normally ridiculously laid back without much of a temper. Even if someone irritates him, he just kind of quietly simmers and eventually, normally subtly, puts them in their place. However, he's downright dangerous when someone he cares about is threatened, or even insulted. He's no hero, and won't go out of his way to help someone he doesn't know (normally), but he would lay down his life in a second to protect someone under his charge.

Personality: Malece is a sweet young girl, thrown out into the world before she was completely ready to be on her own. It causes her to be a little naive, seeing the faces that others set forth without being able to see past to true intentions. Sometimes it's fine, but sometimes it gets her in trouble. The only counter that she has to this is being a little nervous around new people. Mares are generally okay, but she's fairly skittish around stallions. Once she trusts someone, though, she's as sweet and charming as she was around her family.

Personality: Sidus is a fiery mare, from a hot temper to being a wildly passionate lover. She's bold and brilliant, always giving her opinion and never for a second letting anyone push on someone weaker. She's strong, and incredibly hard to break. She doesn't trust easily, but she trusts truly, and won't betray it. She doesn't forgive if she, or someone she loves, is betrayed. She's a witty speaker, but she can get irritated quickly if someone pushes certain buttons. She sometimes gets made fun of for it, since people sometimes rile her up just because she's so predictable, but she can't seem to stop herself.

Personality: Veneera holds little trust in others. She was betrayed by someone she loved deeply when she was younger, told she was worthless, and to this day she holds a bitterness toward the world. She generally just tries to be on her own, but it doesn't always work out that way. In reality, she's scared of trusting anyone, believing that they all have ulterior motives for being around her. Therefore, she pushes everyone away. It would take a strong force of will to convince her that the world isn't a bad place. She's not a cruel mare though. If there's someone in need, she won't turn them away, mostly because it's hard to have a motive when you're asking someone else for help. It's when others are kind to her that she gets cautious. As a side note, she was caught in a forest fire when she was two, causing the scar on her right hip and leg. As a result, she has a deep-seated fear of fire.

Personality: Tuvi is a quiet, somewhat cold creature. She doesn't talk much, mostly because she hates answering stupid, meaningless questions. She refuses to chatter, and will simply ignore the speaker until they get to the point or go away. She doesn't do a whole lot unless it benefits her in some way. She's very intelligent, but she uses that knowledge for her own gain rather than helping or educating others. She never really got along well in herds because she doesn't feel the need to help or protect anyone else - nor, really, does she feel like she needs to be protected. She's a free spirit, but will readily accept the company of another intelligent being.

Personality: Ceol is the type of stallion that enjoys living life to the fullest. He's vibrant and passionate, and always quick to throw out a witty jab or a smart retort. Ceol's a joker, always trying to lighten the mood and very rarely picking a fight. Whenever he's insulted, he just absorbs it, remembering but not reacting badly. The only time he resorts to open violence is if someone physically attacks he or someone he cares about first. Ceol is very loyal, and not one to really spread his love freely. He's caring and sweet to loved ones, and will protect them no matter what. However, he isn't much of a good Samaritan - he's not likely to help the stranger in need, because he only sticks his neck out for those he couldn't stand to be without.

Personality: This filly is the personification of perseverance. Despite a hard childhood that could have kept her down, she keeps fighting, refusing to turn into the weak-willed mare that her mother is. Amhrán feels like she needs to be dominant and pushy in order to not be weak, so she comes off a little aggressive and rough around the edges. She's not mean, she's just trying to establish herself - she doesn't want to be the weakling, and she almost always regrets it later. She really has a gentle and loving heart, she just hasn't had much of a chance to show it yet.

Personality: Auk is a spacey mare on her best of days. Her attention wanders between subjects and interests in a way that has many labeling her as pretty much insane - however, the truth of the matter is that she is very intelligent, but her mouth doesn't always keep up with her mental processes. She's a very relaxed mare, mostly because she reads others very quickly and can pick out the good from the bad in moments, leaving her with little anxiety. If push comes to shove, she generally just high-tails it out. She's got a wry sense of humor that generally isn't understood. She has a fondness for children.
