I just have to share!!!

So this is just me spazzing. xD For those who might not know, I'm in my university's marching band (woo color guard) and I'm currently marching my 3rd year at the college level. Every year my university does 4 shows a season. Some times the shows come from students' suggestions, some times not. Last year we did a SciFi theme that you can watch here. It was amazing.

Anyways, this year we're doing 5 SHOWS in 4 months. SO BUSY. But I'm spazzing because most of our shows are DISNEY THEMED!!! We FINALLY got the rights to The Lion King music (after years of trying) and thus are performing a TLK show this year!

But as far as I know, our season is planned out as followed:

• BG Idol: Our own spoof on American Idol. It's kind of meh, but we're still working on it. We only get like 6 more days to learn the entire show. xD
• Disney Theme: Band Day & Family day; high school bands come in to play with us and stuff. We'll be performing the Mickey Mouse Club march, the Gummy Bear song, and You Have A Friend In Me.
• THE LION KING!!!: Our Homecoming show, WHICH MY PARENTS FINALLY GET TO SEE US PERFORM IN PERSON. SO EXCITED. Color guard gets to work with percussion and do African dances, too!
• A "Ska" show: Songs by bands like No Doubt, The Reel Big Fish, etc. Basically a punk rock show.
• Disney's Fantasia: We get to play songs like Mussorgsky's Night On Bald Mountain and selections from Stravinsky's Firebird Suite. Color guard gets to use GIANT wings for Firebird! This show will also end up being our Bowl Game show if we go to a bowl game.

Oh my gosh those sound SO cool!!! I totally get the marching band thing, I was in it for four years in the pit. <33 I bet you're gonna have so much fun!!
