Nakita & Lacey
Nakita was now flanked by not one, but two bouncy children of the demon. This time was different. The pregnancy hadn't been quite as difficult and the aftermath far less dramatic. Nakita wasn't healed, her weak heart still fell apart quite frequently, but still she felt something different for the white marked child she'd named Lacey. Juno was a spitting image of her perfect father, and was perfect in her very own way. This perfection almost scared the mother. Lacey, however, was far more clumsy, and far more imperfect. Nakita told herself that Juno didn't need her and this was why the pair had such a strained relationship. Yes, that had to be it.
The mare shuddered as she reached the ocean's edge. The water was getting more and more chilly as the autumn months fell into place. "Stay out." Nakita barked at her youngest, knowing it didn't make a difference one way or another what she told Juno. The smaller filly jumped slightly, still not used to the harshness her mother could turn on at any moment. Lacey moved to her sisters side, pressing into her as if she'd switched mothers. Juno was nearing full size and could have easily been mistaken for a mother at a distance.
Nakita moved so that she was knee deep in the water, letting the chill creep up her legs to near the chill she felt in her heart. She looked back to her children on the rocks once before continuing to submerge herself. Lacey's heart began to flutter with each step her mother took away from her and her sister. She wanted to call out to her, but refrained knowing it would do no good with this mare. All the young filly could do was wait and watch to see if she'd make it back to shore.

ooc: so my friend threatened to kill himself last night and I just needed to get this out.
