A wild look of fear was visible in the mare's eyes, green stains trailed over her pretty bay coat. Her body was splashed with moss and water. Quickly and lithely bolting chaotically onto firm land, the speedy mare tossed her head up in indignation until she found herself in a safer area. Ceasing her steps now that she was away from the swamp, she stopped to let her lungs refill with the much needed oxygen. Turns out, alligators didn't much like her getting close unless she was serving herself up as dinner. Shaking her coat out contently, the bay lass calmed herself. Her heart still thudded quickly inside her chest but she cared not for this. It would slow soon enough now that she was standing still and not escaping from the alligators that had tried to attack her. As the fear left her expressive eyes, she took in her surroundings.
The lands were totally unfamiliar to her. There was so much green, but it wasn't the sort you could run around it. It was hard to tell where the swamp started at points, and the ground was quite uneven in places. Galloping around would be reckless to say the least. Everything about this place seemed perilous, but rather than deter the mare on her travels, she was both intrigued and encouraged. Her curiosity had always lead her to strange new lands, and this was no exception. Not knowing what this land was exactly, if was owned by anyone or even if any other equines lived here, Ffion was not sure what to prepare herself for. That had the adrenalin flowing through her veins all right, every sense alert and active to their fullest capacity. Nudging the ground softly, the young mare pranced gracefully towards a nearby tree for a place to rest until she could figure out where to go from here.
