Welcome to Defying Gravity, a semi-realistic natural horse rpg!
There are no mutations, magic, or rainbow ponies here; the horses of the Homelands must carve out a life for themselves by their wits and strength alone. We have no cannons or "site-wide plot" to speak of as we've found that there are a ton of creative people out there and when our members are left to their own devices the plots stay fresh and fun for everyone. So if you're looking for a laid back site with no so called "unique" plot you must adhere to, Defying Gravity just might be the place for you!!

Malika = queen. The “chief” mate, or first wife, of the Malik. Has little say in decisions, but can influence the Malik if she is cunning enough.
Emir = prince. The heir to the tribe
Sayyida = diminutive form of sayyid, an honorific title. Caretaker of the royalty.
Sheikh = general or advisor. Will be regarded as a war general.
Alim = scholar. Will be regarded as an adviser; will also teach young ones the way of the tribe.
Abhal = foolish. A neutral word used for horses who don’t think of outsiders and half-bloods as “dirty”.
Wisix = dirty, filthy. Used in reference to half-bloods and outsiders by Asil.
Shaquu = wretched. The not-so nice word to use in reference to a “not pure” Asil. Considered a grave insult to one’s honor if used.
Saafil = same as Shaquu. Unpleasant to use, insulting to be called

THE TYPES OF ASIL

Kehilan: These are the larger horses of thicker bone and are typically less "typey" with not as much dish to their face.
Muniqi: These are the smaller more athletic and more sterotypically Arabian horses. They are also considered very athletic and fleet of foot.
Seglawi: These horses are very typey and refined and are generally considered more feminine and refined, it might be insulting to be referred to as Seglawi as a male depending on the horse and if they value strength over beauty.
