Welcome to Defying Gravity, a semi-realistic natural horse rpg!
There are no mutations, magic, or rainbow ponies here; the horses of the Homelands must carve out a life for themselves by their wits and strength alone. We have no cannons or "site-wide plot" to speak of as we've found that there are a ton of creative people out there and when our members are left to their own devices the plots stay fresh and fun for everyone. So if you're looking for a laid back site with no so called "unique" plot you must adhere to, Defying Gravity just might be the place for you!!

Hurricane snorted. His hooves lightly touched the sand as he galloped along the beach, right at the waters' edge. The ocean calmed him, despite having deposited him on this very shore not three days ago. The big stallion pulled up suddenly and stared out toward the horizon. He wondered what had become of his family, but realized after a few moments that his wondering was futile.
A loud flutter of wings tossed him rather brutally from his lonely reverie. He was reminded of this paradise he had found. Hurricane had wandered the island, had explored its tangle of trees and water and creatures. Everything here was new to him, his old home having been grassland and forest. Out of the three days he had been here, it had rained two. Yet, there was some sense of belonging. Some sense that made no sense to him at all.
Not that he had much of a choice, of course.
The tidal wave had unceremoniously deposited him here. Hurricane knew he would never see his homeland again. But why not? the stallion thought, gazing around slowly. Why not begin something here? On this island where fate had thrown him.
Hurricane, son of Aliyah and Thunder, brother of Matthias and Sybil, suddenly reared. His forelegs tore at the air until he landed and took off at a gallop. "I may never see my family again," he shouted to the wind, "But I might begin one here. On this island. On this island that is mine!"
Looks good and seems that everything is in order. CLAIM ACCEPTED!

* Just a not for future reference, we usually ask that you post a crossing thread to be judged by staff before traveling to or from the mainland to the islands, but I don't think I explicitly stated that in the rules anywhere so you get a free pass x).
