[/blockquote]ASTRID
―the valiantIf she had known how far from Orut she had been, perhaps the mare would have turned back by now. She was somewhat annoyed by the amount of curiosity bubbling within her at the moment, but she could distinctly recall as a child that she had never been allowed to travel this far away from where her family resided. It was almost as if she were a stupid, ignorant filly again, and Astrid absolutely despised that pitiful child. It was exactly why she had grown to be the hard-headed mare she was today. At least now she could enjoy what she saw in her own reflection.
The familiar smells of Orut began to dissipate as the new ones of Arcarian began to fill the atmosphere. Astrid payed no heed to these changes, allowing her own ignorance to pilot her. To be fair, the lines between the two territories hadn't exactly been laid out, though it was sort of obvious to see that the misty mountains of Orut had practically disappeared. The mare had soon found that the curiosity that drove her here had faded, and now she was wandering aimlessly. Idiot. Astrid stopped in her tracks and looked around, not recognizing any of the foliage around her. She would've just gone back if she hadn't made so many twists and turns around trees and things. She was lost.
Astrid exhaled, cursing. The air was frigid, chilly enough for one to see the breath rising from her nostrils. Quite a lot seemed to be streaming from them. The mare gave another look around, deciding that she should at least try to find her way back. She spun herself around, facing the direction she came, and subsequently began heading back to Orut. That is, if she was able to find her way before something else caught her attention.
