Welcome to Defying Gravity, a semi-realistic natural horse rpg!
There are no mutations, magic, or rainbow ponies here; the horses of the Homelands must carve out a life for themselves by their wits and strength alone. We have no cannons or "site-wide plot" to speak of as we've found that there are a ton of creative people out there and when our members are left to their own devices the plots stay fresh and fun for everyone. So if you're looking for a laid back site with no so called "unique" plot you must adhere to, Defying Gravity just might be the place for you!!

This summer's a hot one!! Things might get a little dicey for those on the south end of the Homeland who aren't used to temperatures above 70 or 80 F. Coldbloods beware!!

Hey everyone. I don't know if everyone here was ever on TLH, or if they've been on other natural horse RPGs that have died out, but I just want to say thanks to Huddeh and Hattiecat for reviving a part of me that died with TLH. I also don't know if others have the same emotional attachment to characters that I did/do, but having them taken from you and having to leave them behind was a huge (and still is) painful thing. Now that we have a site that we can be ourselves on... I still can't believe it. I'm actually kinda teary-eyed right now.
This was my outlet for years, giving the creative part of myself to characters that stole my heart and ran with it, making their own stories and making me love them all the more for it. I cried when I had to write someone's last post, and the loss of my friends, both human and horse, was a blow that I thought might go away.
It didn't. It has lasted this long, and now that I'm an adult, I can still say that some of my best memories happened with all of you. I can't thank Hattiecat and Huddeh enough for giving me the chance to do what I love once again. I know that being older means I have less time to write and laugh, but I promise that I will do my best to make your memories here ones that you will look back on and smile. Or cry. Or laugh. Or all of those at the same time.
It's so amazing to be back, and to finally find that piece of me that was missing for so long.
We're so glad to have you with us! You were such a driving force on TLH I'm so happy we'll get to experience your amazing writing here as well. I can say with all sincerity that I can fully relate with your feelings on losing everything after TLH was hacked. I never really got back into rping after that and mainly just hung around sites without ever really participating because I just couldn't find a site or characters that I could really get passionate about.
Hopefully we can get back into the swing of things together
