Welcome to Defying Gravity, a semi-realistic natural horse rpg!
There are no mutations, magic, or rainbow ponies here; the horses of the Homelands must carve out a life for themselves by their wits and strength alone. We have no cannons or "site-wide plot" to speak of as we've found that there are a ton of creative people out there and when our members are left to their own devices the plots stay fresh and fun for everyone. So if you're looking for a laid back site with no so called "unique" plot you must adhere to, Defying Gravity just might be the place for you!!

This summer's a hot one!! Things might get a little dicey for those on the south end of the Homeland who aren't used to temperatures above 70 or 80 F. Coldbloods beware!!

The thin-legged mare trotted aimlessly beside the river. Her days in what was known as The Homeland had so far been uneventful, not to say that she was complaining. Gaia didn't mind a bit of peace and quiet, not after everything that had happened during and leading up to the birth of her son. The events made her develop a fondness for a still afternoon, a peaceful time. Some horses liked action, and while Gaia could handle action well enough, she didn't prefer it. Her mind often wandered to her son, but she had given him a good start in life, he would fine.. Even if he was disturbingly similar to the father he had never met.
Gaia pulled to a stop, lowering her muzzle and munching on the sparse grass around her hooves. She was sure that in Spring, this place was lovely. It was lovely in Winter, but having a short coat and a thin body made her partial to warmer weather. The mare pulled her head up, chewing slowly, and looked around herself. The river gurgled steadily to her left, and on the other side land sloped gently down to the edge. However, on this side it was a sheer drop to the water's edge. Her breath crystallized on the air as she inhaled and exhaled. Yes, The Homeland seemed lovely even in this harsh weather.
