Welcome to Defying Gravity, a semi-realistic natural horse rpg!
There are no mutations, magic, or rainbow ponies here; the horses of the Homelands must carve out a life for themselves by their wits and strength alone. We have no cannons or "site-wide plot" to speak of as we've found that there are a ton of creative people out there and when our members are left to their own devices the plots stay fresh and fun for everyone. So if you're looking for a laid back site with no so called "unique" plot you must adhere to, Defying Gravity just might be the place for you!!

This summer's a hot one!! Things might get a little dicey for those on the south end of the Homeland who aren't used to temperatures above 70 or 80 F. Coldbloods beware!!

Irimor needs ideas for what to do with her stallion, Slyph.
Slyph is a rather poorly fleshed out 6 year old stallion who originates from the Midlands. His personality is still somewhat in the works (I'm trying to move away from my usual type) but he is very nonchalant. He has very little drive or ambition and would make an awful lead stallion. Slyph has few friends but knows everyone (or will eventually), he's the kind of horse that you vaguely remember who he is but no one knows much about him. And uh that's all I've figured out so far. I feel like he will be very easily bossed around and can be convinced to do anything.
» 16.2hh, Black Chestnut Dun with Minimal Frame Overo Small, jagged white marking on left side of neck and larger white blotch on right side of barrel with white extending from main body towards right hip in a broken lightening bolt shaped pattern. Bottom heavy half blaze that only covers his left eye. Dark black dorsal and leg stripping, black masking around ears and shoulder barring on left side that extends from dorsal stripe. Faint frosting in mane.
I don't know much what to do with him. I know he's never going to challenge anyone for lead stallion, though I do eventually hope he sires a foal or two. What herds are open for new people?
Nala: That could be cool. Pilate leads the Drulan Woods, right? Hmm. I had him originating from the Midlands, so I could have him wandering back there. Super duper secret he left. Lol. I'm sure his "why am I aliiiiive" personality is really attractive to the ladies.
If you want someone more serious and, er, political and calculating and such, then Angelus is down in the desert with his awesome herd cause things are always happening down there. Also, I'd like to get some foals in the herd that don't just belong to him. He's got a lot of daughters wandering around, so perhaps that could attract things later on.
