As you step foot on the largest island, the sounds of birds and critters running and climbing fill your ears, on one side- the scent of salt fills your nares and on the other the fresh smell of plants. "Inoa is the largest island off the southern coast of the Homeland. Its exclusively tropical environment is unlike anything found on the mainland. Colors abound on this large island and few that visit ever find the heart to leave its beauty. The terrain is rocky and unpredictable here; natives have no trouble but mainlanders should watch their step."


CHIEF RYKER, bio. Ryker is proud, and gives off a slightly powerful air about him. He is dauntless, he is brave. He is also very native and tribal, and "mainlanders" are not his cup of tea. This stallion may seem perfect, but is not. He has a short-temper, and when is angry, he is manipulative, sly. Many call him loyal, but he can tend to be judgmental. Though this stallion is very clever and can usually notice the smallest things, so fooling him is not an easy task. He's had a rough history and claimed Inoa to kind of forget about his past- he needs to fill up his herd to fulfill what he feels he needs to do. He wants mainly just to have a big, "family" herd that he can protect and take care of.
Also, he's very sexy- his coloring: Silver Sable Cream Champagne Dun Sabino minimal Splash Rabicano (what a mouthful!)


Open herd positions!:

• Chieftess: Ryker's first mate/wife/lover/etc, would definitely have to work up to this, or maybe we could work out that they were childhood friends or something. c: Gender specific; mare
  
  
• The Second in Command: Someone Ryker really trusts and knows is a fit/sane horse capable leading the herd if something went wrong. They'd be almost as if a "best friend," someone Ryker is close to. Non-gender specific, though most likely stallion.
  
  
• The Advisor: An advisor has a big job in the herd- they should of course advise one in their troubles or thoughts, also may help the Shaman in converting a mainlander to a islander. The Advisors are a selected few that help keep things in order, one might be the "General" or Head of the Warriors, and probably will spend time recruiting or checking borders. Each Advisor's job varies and molds to what fit that horse best and might be asked by Ryker to each do the same, but also slightly different jobs. Non-gender specific.
  
  
• The Shaman/Mystic: The healer of the herd, should be soft-spoken and able to help mental & physical healing. They also may have to help mainlanders 'convert' into islanders (that is, if they aren't banished and can provide why they should not be banished.) Non-gender specific, though most likely a mare.
  
  
• Warriors: Simple enough, the warriors are the "army" of the herd- they help protect it and help aid in an attack. Non-gender specific, but typically more stallions than mares.
  
  
• Wives: The mares of the herd, not necessarily all Ryker's mares, but they will probably be asked to bear foals unless they have a mate/are homosexual (like Florence)/etc. Gender specific; mares

Ryker right now will probably be more open to mainlanders/horses not originally from Inoa but will grow tighter and more strict when/if the herd grows, etc. The mainlanders will be required to go through a "ritual" or "turning" to become members of the tribe. Currently it's only Ryker, Florence and Xitlali so I'd love to hear your plot ideas/have your characters join!

• Time- Okay okay. The first problem is that, their on opposite sides of the land, so I mean, not exactly sure how that would work? The second is that, he's a mainlander, so I can't exactly say how the meeting would go. But I'm up for threading if you'd like! Vito would probably have to trek to at least Kalala, if not Inoa, to meet him though

Paddeh -- I love the idea that maybe they're childhood friends who never really regarded each other as anything but friends, like a brother/sister thing. (I'm kind of really hoping for a cute 80's love song kind of relationship with her.) She's a fun little mare, and I think a cute little she loves him but won't tell him, he loves her but won't tell her thing would be awesome. Perhaps if you like that idea but want some drama... What if they don't tell each other that they're into each other, and another mare comes along and Ryker really likes her, and Talia finally tells him that she loves him but it's like, almost too late... These are just ideas being tossed out for you. I haven't planned for much of anything yet.

• Time- I can make the thread if you'd like, but (not exactly sure on this, probably ask Hat) I believe you have to have a crossing thread from the mainland to the islands- so if that's the case I could always just reply to that. But yissss, I would ask Hat about it first.
  
  
• Silver- I really like this plot idea, especially the drama! As long as it's okay, Scar and I have decided that she's going to be that mare that comes and Ryker really falls for and then Talia can confess or whatever later on (and Ryker will like both, and be really conflicted and not know what to do xD) :3

I HAVE TUVI, she's on the islands :'D She's an intelligent, quiet, opportunistic mare. She hates small take and only really does anything if it benefits her. But yeah, she might be a good Adviser maybe? She doesn't necessarily like helping others, but helping the herd be stronger is something she's quite capable of, especially because that would indeed benefit her. But yeah, let me know!
