Silver and the Black God

You all knew it was going to happen at some point.

For those who knew Cancer back on TLH, you know or have some idea of who and what the Black God is. Basically he's a religion and deity made up in the head of my sexy beast Cancer. But the fact is, more horses started to believe in the Black God, and eventually I (and maybe others) had trouble deciding if the Black God was actually real or just a made up religion. Anyways, there's a few things about the religion that I'd like to outline.

The Black God: The Black God is a made up/real (no one really knows for sure) deity who basically feeds on the pledges of those who dedicate themselves to him. He requests things like physical markings (such as coming-of-age scar-tattoos), converts and reproduction of new recruits. Regular religious-type things such as prayer, rituals and celebrations are also welcomed.

Reproduction: Messengers of the Black God (such as my character Angelus) are asked to "plant future followers" in mares (of any kind) so force-breeding is not off limits. (Now includes High Priest.)

Coloring: Black is (of course) the Black God's favored color. Horses with this coloring are considered to be blessed by the Black God and often obtain roles of priests and priestesses. Lighter horses are not so blessed in the eyes of followers, yet all horses can pay homage to the Black God regardless of their coloring.

Coming of Age Markings: Male followers are asked to mark themselves with a cut that will scar on the inside of one of their legs when they turn three years old. Angelus has a scar on the inside of one of his.

The Black Army: A secret society (think Freemasons) of male followers that will collect together when the Messenger deems there to be a cause worthy of a religious war. They go to war against this threat.
They also have a sort of news system that travels through the Army's meetings.

For all you mares out there --> mares are vital as they can pass messages unsuspected, and also carry the education of young followers with them.

I think that's about everything there.

Anyways, Angelus is eventually going to defect from the desert herd and start recruiting followers for the Black God. He's a really snake-esque charming kind of guy. He'll whisper with his silver tongue and have you following along before you can say "no".

I'm looking for anyone who'd like to join Angelus and me in this very interesting (I'm not actually kidding; ask anyone who was involved with Cancer) endeavour - and any mares who'd be willing to plot/have some Angelus babies with Cancer blood in them. Be ready for epicness!

**A quick briefing on the different positions of the Black Army:

- The Messenger is the head of the religion. The future Messenger is usually chosen in consensus by the Messenger and the High Priest(ess).
Almost always has a black coat.

- The High Priest(ess) is chosen by the Messenger. They are second in command and looked upon as most blessed by the Black God second to the Messenger. Highly respected by followers. Almost always has a black coat.

- The Black Warriors are males who have been marked and have chosen to serve the Black God with their strength. They are respected by others and serve as a holy army in times of trouble. They also accompany agents on their journeys. (Many Warriors and Agents mate, due to convenience and sometimes love. )

- The Agents are the female counterparts of the Black Warriors. They pass along messages, recruit new followers and seek out points of interest for the Army.

- Followers are simply those that choose not to assume a position within the Army but still wish to follow the Black God.

Who has two thumbs and totally wants in on this? Uhm, I'm going to go ahead and offer up a mare because I really want some Cancer blood babies. I don't have a gal in mind yet, but I'm going to lay out all the details before doing anything. Butyes, count me in for some Black God fun times.

@angel - I'm always up for new Black God followers. I think I'm going to edit the details for the Black Army actually. It's going to be the encompassing name for the whole following of the Black God, so there'll be some positions, etc. (Think Roman Catholic Church type positions), and so if you want Zephy involved in the Army in some way, or just as a follower (they'll just be listed as followers so everyone can keep track of who else they can talk to about the religion, or who can be converted, etc), I'm up for that. You weren't wanting babies though, right?

@rhi - Not able to guarantee that he won't touch Arcarian mares, but maybe he can come up with an agreement that he'll only go with willing mares. You said Deigo can supply mares? How does this work -- I'm curious.

@skibb - Yay Cancer blood babies!! Angelus is very much like Cancer so it'll be almost like having Cancer there too! xD Of course you can have smexy babies and join in the fun. Let me know more when you have your charrie. ^^

nala - I replied darling. And they are going to make some smexy babies. How soon are you wanting babies to happen, if at all? Also...would she be willing to leave the Asils with Angelus when he leaves? He needs at least someone to go with him to help spread the message/keep him mostly sane.

Her coat is liver chestnut, so she's dark but not pure. She's also got a curly coat so she's ADORABLE. xD She'll be into Angelus, for sure. <3

So I've got Eleanor out in the world, and I was kind of hoping she & Angelus could do a thread just to see how they react to each other first before we go-a baby makin', if that's alright with you. I still have a ton of advertising to do before I can get this foal anyway.

nala - That'll be adorable. <3 I'm kind of asking everyone about their plans for babies cause at five years old he's able to get almost anything pregnant. xD So it's not a huge deal for me, since he's going to be in action all the time, rather than being out of the game for a year or so. Threads are always welcome since this plot is really about the threading and developing good followers and solidifying the cult/religion and building up the Black Army. So threading is just fine my dear. ^^ (Who knows...she might even get a spot in Angelus' "mate" slot on his character sheet, if things go well. )

Hud - Brigida sounds adorable. Will she be tagging along when he leaves? I don't know how kindly Stau will look upon those associated with Angelus when he gets exiled. I'd like to have some dedicated mares for the cause since Angelus can't convert all of the stallions in the world as well as he can the mares. Mares are also more liable to talk to other mares, so they're quite important to the cause.

@skibb - Of course! I wouldn't shove Angelus at your mare unless you specifically asked me to. Angelus is kind of shape-shifty so you might see the dark side of him (especially at night when he "hallucinates" more) or she might get the regal, leader-esque side of him. I'd love for him to meet as many potential followers as he can, and perhaps seed some dedicated followers along the way. So shall we thread?
